FENTIMANS
(2 products)Fentimans - Discover British Botanical Craft Drinks, Brewed Since 1905
It all started with an unpaid debt. In 1905, Thomas Fentiman, a craftsman from the north of England, lent money to a fellow tradesman. The collateral was a recipe for botanically brewed ginger beer. The debt was never repaid - but the recipe stayed. Thomas began brewing the drink at home and delivering it door to door by horse and cart, in ceramic jars known as "grey hens". His dog Fearless won the Crufts obedience competition in 1933 and 1934 - and her portrait has been on every Fentimans bottle ever since.
The secret behind Fentimans lies in the Botanical Brewing process: natural ingredients - roots, flowers, herbs - are fermented for 7 days, building complex layers of flavour that no industrial process can replicate. Fentimans tonic water is the perfect expression of that philosophy: clean, balanced, with a well-judged bitterness - ideal as the base for a refined gin & tonic, or simply enjoyed over ice on its own.
